3-day itinerary
Ideal for a long weekend or a first taste of the area.
- Day 1: San Gimignano (morning and early afternoon). Towers, gelato, views; head back in the afternoon for the pool.
- Day 2: Siena. Leave early: Piazza del Campo, Duomo, narrow streets. Afternoon by the pool or a relaxed return.
- Day 3: Volterra (Etruscan atmosphere, stone alleys, workshops) or a slow day: winery tasting and relaxation at the property.
5-day itinerary
Includes the 3-day programme plus Chianti and one “free” day or Florence.
- Days 1–3: as in the 3-day itinerary (San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra or relax).
- Day 4: Chianti. Gravel roads, winery (wine/oil tasting), lunch at a farmhouse among vines and olive groves.
- Day 5: Florence (choose 1–2 highlights: Uffizi or Duomo + a walk) or Monteriggioni + Colle di Val d'Elsa for something quieter.
7-day itinerary
The full version: art, villages, Chianti, Florence and a “slow” day or Pisa.
- Days 1–5: as in the 5-day itinerary.
- Day 6: Pisa (Piazza dei Miracoli and tower) or a slow day: second winery, Colle di Val d'Elsa, or just pool and Casole on foot.
- Day 7: Relax, last-minute shopping, walk to Casole d'Elsa (about 10 min on foot from Villa Vale) and afternoon by the pool before departure.
Practical tips
- Alternate busy days with slower days: you avoid exhaustion and really enjoy the holiday.
- Leave early for Siena and San Gimignano: fewer crowds and easier parking.
- If it rains: museums, Siena Duomo, workshops and winery tastings are great alternatives.
