Yellow bin

Packaging
  • Plastic containers and bottles.
  • Steel and tin cans and lids, foil plates and trays.
  • Plastic film, plastic bags and packaging.
  • Juice and milk cartons, Tetra Pak boxes, toothpaste tubes and polystyrene foam.

Glass

Glass
  • Bottles, jars and vases.
  • Glass containers without caps or lids.
Do not put here
  • Ceramic, mirrors, pyrex, crystal, toys or decorative objects.

Not recyclable waste

Residual
  • Anything that cannot be recycled.
  • Dirty paper, disposable razors, cigarette stubs, brushes, toothbrushes and floss.
  • Nappies, ceramic, towels, rags, wipes and kitty litter.
Do not put here
  • Recyclable materials, electronics, hazardous waste, bulky waste, medicines or batteries.

Paper and cardboard

Paper
  • Newspapers and magazines, books, clean paper, flyers and leaflets.
  • Cardboard packaging, paper bags and egg cartons.
  • Flattened food, shoe and corrugated boxes, only if clean and without food residue.
Do not put here
  • Drink cartons, greasy paper or cardboard, dirty kitchen paper, receipts, baking paper and waxed paper.

Organic waste

Compost
  • Food and yard waste, leftovers, fruit and vegetable peels.
  • Coffee grounds and filters, tea bags, flowers and cork stoppers.
  • Biodegradable and compostable items such as bags, dishes, cutlery and bioplastic.
Do not put here
  • Large bones, non-compostable pet litter, nappies, textile or leather items.
